Position Summary
We are a team of researchers in the Department of Psychiatry focused on understanding how technology and social media, in particular, shape health behaviors. We are also developing and evaluating digital interventions to help individuals with their substance misuse and/or emotional wellbeing. The clinical research study assistant will provide support to our team to accomplish study goals, timelines, and resources. The clinical research study assistant will perform all study tasks including recruit participants, conduct study visits, collect and manage data, and perform all study activities as appropriate. Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors participant recruitment and enrollment for online studies related to substance misuse and mental health; logs information and data received as appropriate and implements study procedures with remote participants including routine emails, phone calls/text messages, and other follow up activities.
  • Prepares reports from datasets collected to include weekly reports and other reports as requested; assists with development of documents, manuscripts and presentations to disseminate study findings; assists with creation of monthly departmental newsletter for events and news related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Supports the development and submission of study-related regulatory documents and correspondence; reviews documents for completeness and compliance with protocol and appropriate regulations; assists in investigating incomplete, inaccurate or missing documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Communicates and coordinates with other study personnel as required; attends routine meetings and other meetings related to the clinical research; stays abreast of information and any changes to study protocol.

  • Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification plus two years of administrative or research experience, preferably in a medical environment; associate degree or t years of college may substitute for experience.

Salary Range
$18.47 - $27.73 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
