In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. 

 

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is dedicated to advancing the science of psychiatry and behavioral neurosciences through clinical trials and ongoing collaborative research.  The department supports clinical research and career development in multiple disciplines, and is a recruiting a clinical research to join the faculty.

 

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is recruiting a Psychiatrist with clinical research experience, including conducting clinical trials in women’s mental health, geriatric psychiatry, and/or psychotic disorders. The position is available at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. The final rank and title will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.

 

A successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and mentoring, excellence in patient care, and advancing science through clinical trials and ongoing collaborative research.


Essential Functions

Responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical research at various UC Health facilities, hospital, and other local health care systems
  • Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Direct patient care in the ambulatory setting
  • Additional opportunities for career development include administrative and leadership roles, participation in quality improvement, peer supervision, and formal mentorship.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to the effective date of appointment, must have all of the following:

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree
  • Ohio Medical License
  • Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry
