Description:

The Duke Cancer Institute is hiring for their DIRECT Cancer Fellowship Program with the purpose of training a diverse, innovative, and impactful cancer research workforce.  We are looking for minority applicants who have recently graduated and have an interest in entering cancer research.

Fellows will get mentorship and training in four key areas:

·       Applied Cancer Research

·       Professional Development

·       Racial equity, Health Disparities, and Structural Racism

·       Science Communication

Applicants must:

·       Be a first-generation US Citizen or first in family to graduate from a four-year college

·       Come from a background that is underrepresented in your discipline’s graduate-level study

·       Have a sustained commitment to diversity through work experience, volunteerism, etc.

·       Have experienced financial hardship because of family economics

This is a full-time, one year position with a monthly stipend and full medical benefits.
