Position Summary:
 
Under the supervision of the Manager, the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will provide clinical research support to the department imaging services by providing comprehensive coordination and data management of research studies and sponsored clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), internal standard operating procedure (SOPs), and University policies and procedures. Incumbent is responsible for reviewing the imaging requirements/components of all incoming industry-sponsored, investigator-initiated, and NCI-sponsored clinical trials that will be conducted at UCI Medical Center and satellite sites. This also includes providing assistance to outside departments in study start-up processes, which includes site initiation visits, and qualifying imaging scanners for a particular protocol. Incumbent will also provide assistance in data curation, identifying and selecting problems for investigation and planning experiments, which may include but not limited to literature searches, data review, database creation and maintenance, manuscript preparation, and submissions. Incumbent will also coordinate the radiology safety read and special read (i.e. RECIST, RANO, CHESON, etc) services for IRB-approved studies. Lastly, incumbent will perform root cause analysis to establish and/or maintain smooth research workflows/operations.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $32.12 - $41.26 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $32.12 - $52.92 (Hourly Rate).

Required:
 
  • 3 to 5 years of related work experience with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or equivalent experience. 
  • Ability to think critically in compiling and reviewing data from various sources. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform scientific research including properly evaluating information and preparing concise, well-organized reports and correspondence. 
  • Database creation and maintenance using Excel and/or other relational databases. 
  • Research experience especially with IRB, HIPAA and other regulatory documents, study coordination and familiar with GCP and ethical conduct of research. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to interact with the public, faculty, and staff. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain files and records. 
  • High level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

 


Preferred:
 
  • Experience in clinical coordination. Familiar with UC system experience and knowledge of UC policies and procedures. 
  • Familiar with internal systems such as EPIC, Redcap, OnCore, and Kuali Financial System Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP)
