A Clinical Research Coordinator II manages clinical course of research volunteers according to research protocol.  This role assesses compliance with study protocol.  Responsibilities will include: collecting necessary data through patient interaction including but not limited to past medical history, present illness, social history, family history, medication/vaccination history. Coordinates and document all aspects of study contact/visits.  Provides accurate data entry.  Will provide Lab specimen processing and handling according to study guidelines.  Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, injections.  
Ideal candidate will have prior clinical research experience working with premature/term infant children as well as adults. Well versed with following specific protocol guidelines with FDA regulations.
Position to be split between Clinical Research Office (Creighton Campus) and Osteoporosis research (located within CHI/Immanuel Hospital).
Role will require final candidate to work both on University Campus and Immanuel Campus.  Please note, CHI/Immanuel Hospital is located at 6901 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68122 and may require additional compliance requirements as a non-CHI member.
This position is 100% grant funded. 
This position will work, Monday -Friday; depending upon research needs position may require evening, weekend and holiday work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of Science preferred;
  • 4-6 years clinical experience preferably in a research setting; prior clinical research experience working with premature/infant children preferred
  • CCRC preferred; BLS preferred  

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
  • Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Strong knowledge and be well versed of FDA regulatory requirements is required;
  • Knowledge of the principles of research design;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Ability to assess inquiries and provide appropriate information using judgment and available resources, 
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and be HIPPA compliant; 
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment; 
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
  • Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse populations;
  • Ability to work at times evening, weekend, and holiday work depending upon needs.
