The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is sought to assist with recruitment, assessment, follow-up and the conduct of a NIH multicenter clinical trial. Candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to exercise independent judgement within the scope of the research in order to meet expected goals. Reporting to the Program Administrator and the Principal Investigators, the CRC will work with other research staff, collect data, and communicate with a data coordinating center.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the conduct and coordination of a clinical trial including recruitment of participants, assessment, data collection, and follow-up.
- Provide patient education regarding study procedures, logistics, and inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Schedule and organize study visits and perform follow up visits.
- Obtain informed consent and administer standardized questionnaires.
- Review and extract data from patient charts.
- Maintain patient registry and provide recruitment reports.
- Ensure compliance with study protocol.
- Responsible for data entry and maintenance of database.
- Monitor safety data and maintain case report forms.
- Responsible for preparation of documents for renewals, modification, yearly submissions, correspondence, and audit related to the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
- Assist with preparation of data for statistician.
- Develop ongoing reports for the PI, statistician, and sponsor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience
- Computer skills including Word, Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with patients and/or human subjects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in administration of clinical trials
- Phlebotomy certification
- Spanish language skills
Other Requirements
- Participation in medical surveillance program
- Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
- Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
- Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
