Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.

 

The College of Medicine, Office of Clinical Research, is seeking to fill a Clinical Research Administrator position.

 


Essential Functions
  • Develop, negotiate and coordinate clinical trial budgets, in accordance with UC /UC Health policy and federal laws and regulations.
  • Assist/liaison with outside coverage analysis vendors and internal study teams to facilitate MCAs for each clinical trial study.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations and all UC/UCH departments engaged in clinical trial study start up.
  • Advise, support, guide and provide consultation to faculty, physicians and department administrators on specific clinical trial budget activities and services as needed.
  • Work with necessary parties to identify compliance, legal, IP and business/financial risk. Mitigate risk through working with physicians/faculty, divisions, legal and/or other departments.
  • Support business development opportunities in clinical trials.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law or Healthcare Management.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of experience in business operations, healthcare, pharmaceutical or academic environment.


Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Possess broad and deep knowledge of industry contract, budget  development and negotiations.
  • Extensive knowledge of clinical trials processes.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of Kuali platform is ideal.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
