Clinical Reporting Analyst-Associate (Anesthesiology)

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Clinical Reporting Analyst-Associate will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, clinical systems analysts, and work with leaders within health information systems and clinic operations to analyze, create specifications, build, test, and implement reports that are needed to support the various clinical applications including but not limited to Epic. The Clinical Reporting Analyst will provide first-tier support to their counterparts from other application disciplines and end-users to successfully meet the development and implementation objectives for assigned applications. 

Job Duties:

1.     Work autonomously and collaboratively with other team members, as well as cross functionally to determine data and reporting requirements, and design specifications for the creation and delivery of reports using various report writing and distribution tools that include (but are not limited to) Epic Cogito (Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer), Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Tableau and Power BI.

2.     Extract data from various internal and/ or external data sources that include (but are not limited to) Epic Clarity (SQL), Epic Caboodle (SQL), Chronicles, Mosaiq (SQL), and Ascend (SQL), in order to provide decision support to Clinical Operations, Quality and Case Management teams. Demonstrate working knowledge of relational databases.

3.     Create, test, validate and maintain a portfolio of routine and ad-hoc reports, scorecards, and dashboards.

4.     Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and tracking for all new and existing build.

5.     Participate in system upgrades; Test and verify software releases and any changes prior to the promotion of code to the production environment.

6.     Provide tier-1 support for clinical reporting solutions. Activities include problem analysis, break/fix, design/modeling, implementation/coding, and testing.

7.     Attend necessary Epic Reporting application trainings to obtain the required certification. Maintain current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education training and reading related periodicals.

8.     Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, 

Four (4) years of comparable experience may be substituted for a degree. 

Experience with business intelligence tools. Examples include, but are not limited to:  Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, Registries, Healthy Planet, Slicer/Dicer, Crystal Reports, WEBi, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Experience with developing SQL/data extract queries.
