Summary

The University of Michigan Section of Neuropsychology is seeking a talented full-time clinical track faculty member to participate in the clinical, research, and teaching missions of the Neuropsychology Program.

The applicant for this position should have a solid background following APA accredited postdoctoral training in child neuropsychological assessment and a strong interest and demonstrated track record in teaching and research. The position includes teaching and supervision responsibilities in the Department of Psychiatry's APA approved Postdoctoral training program. Candidates will be expected to carry a clinical load and also participate actively in clinical evaluations and training with postdoctoral fellows. The successful candidate will be expected to support and enhance research in the areas of functional outcomes of pediatric epilepsy or oncology.

The candidate will join a dynamic group of faculty, partnering with a leadership team that values clinical, research and educational excellence and innovation. This position will report through the Associate Medical Director in the Neuropsychology Clinic and work closely with a dynamic team of faculty and staff across the Neuropsychology Program. Additionally, they will provide teaching to fellows and residents at the University of Michigan. It is anticipated this faculty member will be involved in collaborative research and development activities with Neuropsychology, and other relevant programs over time.

Required Qualifications*

Applicants for the position will have obtained a Psy.D. /Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology and will have completed a minimum of two years of post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology that complies with the training guidelines of Division 40 of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN). Eligibility for Clinical Neuropsychology board certification is required. Experience and expertise in the clinical neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents with neurological, medical and psychiatric disorders is required. Applicants must have demonstrated promise for an academic career that emphasizes clinical care, teaching, and research. Superior clinical competencies and master teacher skills are necessary and be an active member in good standing of the University of Michigan Medical Staff.

Background Screening
