Clinical Pharmacist - Investigational Drug Services

Execute the services and functions of a research pharmacist in an academic medical center setting. Develops implements and coordinates activities and operations associated with drug related research throughout the hospital.  Supports the educational and professional development of the Pharmacy department.

  • Serves as departmental representative to study related personnel and committees.
  • Supports the educational and professional development of the Pharmacy department.
  • Enhances quality of delivery of care.
  • Engages in professional self-development scholarly and professional activities. 
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $52.46 - $83.94 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.

Experience: No experience required. Hospital Pharmacy Residency or comparable hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required.  American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods.  Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs.  May be exposed to chemicals.
