Friends University is seeking to fill the Clinical Operations Manager position in Wichita Kansas. Under the leadership of MSFT Program Administration, this position provides primary support and oversight of the MFT Clinical Internship for all MSFT delivery sites. Provides operational oversight of the annual clinical training calendar, all internship policies and procedures, internship parameters surrounding clinical documentation, and program use of LiveText.  Develops and maintains partnerships for Wichita MSFT clinical internship sites and completes the Wichita MSFT internship matching process. Supports adherence to COAMFTE standards through data management, internship site legal documents, Wichita MSFT internship site training and compliance measures.

  • Provides oversight to the annual Wichita Internship Placement Fair, coordinates with the MSFT Clinical Director and MSFT Coordinator.  Collects data from internship sites, student therapists and faculty to assist with the internship matching process.  Meets individually with students during fall one semester to collect internship data and feedback. 
  • Supports adherence to COAMFTE standards through data management support.  Includes the assistance with data collection and data management.  Support may also extend to data organization for Quarterly Reviews for the MSFT Program Faculty review.

Work hours are typically 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.   Some travel to off-site locations will be required. Thursdays may require 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to accommodate the weekly instructional schedule.

Skills & Requirements

Three years administrative assistant or secretarial experience required; five years preferred.  Background in office management, medical or mental health environment and/or higher education desired.  Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet software, and database experience required (Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Excel preferred). LiveText experience preferred.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary, including strong skills in collaborating positively with (a) persons of various positions and status across the University, and (b) a smaller, immediate work group. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
