SUMMARY STATEMENT: Function:  The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the daily operations of PEP-C. The application of leadership management and the maintenance of professional standards, works under the direction of the Unit Director. Coordinates with the UD in development budget and unit goals. Identify areas of improvement and implement action plan utilizing stoplight status report template. Supervise and guides staff in providing quality patient care to ensure patient safety and patient satisfaction. Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and participate peer evaluations of the staff.  Not limited to the input of staff timecards, oversight of the daily scheduling , participate in the daily huddles and staff meetings, support the AN Is’ to ensure the Standards of ASPAN and provide guidance and leadership to the AN1, participate interviews of applicants, prepares staff for Joint Commission readiness and leads the way for maintaining Magnet status. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities. Clinical duties will required to perform in supervisory role and intermittently acts as the Charge Nurse when needed, as well as be visible and resource to staff.

Qualifications
