Position Summary: 

The clinical nurse provides patient care to an assigned group of patients focusing on meeting the clinical needs of the clinic. Incumbent will perform patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.   Assists with procedures and patient education. The nurse incorporates the psycho-motor and age appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other utilizing knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Salary Range: 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $59.93                  Midpoint     $71.10               Maximum $82.27

 

Required Qualifications:

 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Current California RN license

Minimum of 6 months demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting

Current ACLS certification

Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques

Knowledge and practice of body mechanics

Knowledge and practice of age related acuity levels

2 years current Interventional GI experience

Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment

Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Current BLS certification

PALS certification upon hire

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Demonstrated GI/endoscopy experience

Previous experience in medical surgical ICU

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families

Understanding of JCAHO requirements

Experience in Gastroenterology

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
