  • JOB DUTIES

Description

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is a registered nurse whose practice is clinical nursing education andwho oversees required education, competency, training, and professionaldevelopment for the Pediatric Critical Care populationspecific nursing staff in the UCLA Health system. Encompasses the delivery of clinician(primarily nursing), professional/leadership development, policies, activities,assessment tools, and systems. Promotesexcellence in patient care, through skill acquisition in evidence based nursingpractice and clinical inquiry. Collaborates with nursing leadership (Unit Director, Clinical NurseSpecialist, and Nursing Professional Development Specialist) to deliver educationalprograms and secure resources based on needs assessments and adult learningtheory. Meets the diverse requirementsof the nursing units, patient populations, regulatory and accreditation andstrategic goals of the organization/health system. Salary range: $43.06-$103.78 Hourly



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Current valid CA RN license, required BSN, MSN in Nursing Education/Education, or committed to or currently enrolled in MSN in Nursing Education, required Thorough knowledge of a broad spectrum of nursing professional development practices and issues 3 years of recent acute care experience, required Strong interpersonal skills to provide education, training, and resources to develop positive working relationships with nursing staff and leadership *If you do not meet the minimum education requirement, you may be considered for a Clinical Nurse Educator 3*
