Job Summary
 

The Department of Psychology offers a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science with concentrations in Experimental Psychology and Behavior Analysis, and an APA-accredited PsyD. This position will primarily involve teaching courses on the Statesboro Campus. Current faculty within the Department are engaged in the development of leading teaching techniques and highly innovative research pursuits and are highly collaborative and supportive of each other's teaching, research, and service goals. 

Position Description . Reporting to the Department Chair, the Clinical Instructor position requires teaching some combination of courses within our Psychology Bachelors degree program and a newly developed Addiction Recovery Counseling Minor program, as well as providing service to the Department and University that is associated with this Minor. The position is an academic (10 month) non-tenure track appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. 


Required Qualifications
 

Earned Masters degree in Psychology, or a closely related field, by August 1, 2024, with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology, Counseling, or Addiction Recovery.

Meets the qualifications to deliver courses within an undergraduate addiction recovery counseling program to allow students to meet the coursework requirements for professional credentials as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Level II or Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II.

Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.

Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.


Preferred Qualifications
 

Earned doctorate (i.e., Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in psychology, or a closely related field, by August 1, 2024.

Evidence of successful College/University teaching experience.

Experience or interest in administratively coordinating relationships with clinical sites and/or managing a continuing education program. 

Interest in developing and teaching courses using multiple modalities, including face-to-face, online, and site- and remote-synchronous learning formats.


Proposed Salary
 

Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
