Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Clinical Instructor faculty position in the Dental Hygiene Program. UC Blue Ash Dental Hygiene is a selective admissions program with approximately 38 students per class.


Essential Functions
  • Instruction in laboratory and clinical (performing dental hygiene duties).
  • Professional/scholarly activities related to the profession (such as membership/leadership in the Dental Hygiene Association, professional presentations on pedagogy and or dentistry, and publications in professional journals)
  • Department, college, university, and community service.

Minimum Requirements

This position requires all of the following prior to the effective date of the appointment:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in dental hygiene, a health related field, or education 
  • An Ohio Dental Hygiene License or eligibility for an Ohio Dental Hygiene License as defined by the Ohio State Dental Board http://dental.ohio.gov/Licensure/Dental-Hygienist#62388-dental-hygienist 
  • An Ohio local anesthesia certificate or eligibility for an Ohio local anesthesia certificate.
  • At least one academic year of teaching experience in a dental hygiene program within the past five years. Teaching experience should include teaching in a didactic, laboratory, or clinical setting.
  • Two years of clinical practice experience as a dental hygienist.

This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
