Position Overview
The Department of PA Studies in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI is seeking applications for an individual well connected in northeastern Illinois healthcare community to aid in preceptor base expansion in the greater Chicagoland and northeastern IL areas. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Marquette PA program and its accreditation needs for clinical rotations. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be detailed oriented, and bring enthusiasm to the role as a champion for the MU PA program. The part time faculty will also be responsible for conducting occasional site visits for the MU PA Program in the northeastern Illinois area.
After an orientation period, recruitment goals will be established, and the individual will begin soliciting for quality PAs, MDs, DOs, and NPs for the role of full-time preceptor. This is a part time, adjunct position, contracted on a semester-by-semester basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Secure clinical placements in the greater Chicago and far northeastern Illinois area. Help assure quality of student clinical education and ethical provision of clinical services in compliance with appropriate standards for program accreditation and student credentialing. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, Director of Clinical Education, or Clinical Coordinator for PA Studies or the Dean of the College of Health Sciences.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree, 5+ years of health care experience with MDs, PAs, NPs. Familiarity with health systems in northeastern Illinois.
