It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region.

Job Duties

The Department of Pediatrics at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC is seeking two full-time BE/BC general pediatricians for a one-year term appointment at the title of Clinical Instructor and Co-Chief Resident for the Pediatric Residency Program.

These positions include administrative duties for the residency program, teaching of medical students and residents, and the provision of clinical care in several general pediatric settings including the ward, newborn nursery, general acute care, and outreach clinics.

Opportunities for the development of academic skills and involvement in research are available.

Minimum Education/Experience

MD or DO degree from an appropriately accredited institution.

Must be BE/BC in general pediatrics.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

North Carolina Medical License
