Duties:

The clinical pharmacists are integral members of the hospital multidisciplinary teams. The new hire will be assigned to the Pediatric team to provide comprehensive medication therapy management Monday – Friday during the day.  The clinical pharmacist duties include attending daily rounds, medication profile review, identifying medication related problems, evidence-based medication and dosing recommendations, therapeutic drug monitoring, provision of drug information, patient education, and attending cardiac resuscitation and rapid response team calls. The candidate will also be responsible for nurse, physician, and pharmacy staff development; coordinating and conducting quality initiative projects, and developing collaborative treatment and research protocols.

The academic responsibilities of the clinical faculty member (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) include the provision of didactic lectures and precepting entry level Doctor of Pharmacy students, PGY1 residents and PGY2 residents. Scholarly activities, including presentations and publications, are an expectation as well.
