Essential Job Functions

  • Provides individual and group counseling for students to encourage personal, emotional, and social growth to comply with professional standards, keeping accurate records of the services provided
  • Conducts assessments, referrals, and consultations to support students with behavioral health needs (e.g., mental health, alcohol and other drug issues)
  • Provides crisis intervention and on-call consultation, as needed, to manage behavioral health emergencies and sexual assaults
  • Develops outreach programming to educate the student body on behavioral health and other topics (e.g., sexual assault awareness, drug prevention, etc.) and enrich the campus life
  • Provides consultation to faculty, staff and parents on behavioral health issues affecting students
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a master’s degree
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, crisis intervention, working with diverse student populations or other related experience
  • Clinical license in Rhode Island

Please Note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
