The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Clinical Manager to join its Orthodontic Division. The Orthodontics Division provides excellent, comprehensive orthodontic treatment for all ages. The orthodontic faculty members are leaders in their profession, and you will work with respected clinicians and educators work along with our orthodontic resident to provide the best care to our patients.

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Provides overall clinic administration, and supervises front office staff, student workers and laboratory technician in the orthodontic patient-centered clinical care program; serves as liaison with Division administration, clinic administration, dental faculty, residents, outside agencies and vendors; coordinates clinic administration, between patient financial management, clinical assisting and the admissions /reception activities. Also responsible for clinical budget monitoring, supply and other expense reconciliation, and marketing management. Responsible for development and training of the orthodontic electronic healthcare record software (axiUm/EPIC) for faculty, residents and staff.

Monitors clinical staff and part-time faculty annual health and safety training and compliance, interact with the data analyst to manage record archiving and patients transferring to other practices. Works with the pre-doctorial director and students to ensure completion of orthodontic requirements and participation in the pre-doctoral Invisalign program. Coordinates dentofacial program patients and processes patient internal and external referrals. Is responsible for updating the clinic operations manual, standard procedures and clinical documents.

Assists faculty and residents with data reporting and analysis. Assist Division Chair and Clinical Director to organize the Clinical Advisory Committee. Manages incident reports, patient complaints, and faculty, resident and staff issues as they arise. Works with the Chair, Clinical Directors, faculty, and residents to develop and maintain efficient clinic schedules and calendars. Facilitates periodic resident and staff development events and opportunities to resolve conflicts, promote teamwork, and enhance morale in clinic environment. Help recruiting and retaining staffs in clinic area. Run day-to-day clinical operations.

Schedule

Monday - Friday

7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.

Compensation

$49,800.00 - $66,400.00/year

Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.

Experience & Education

Required: This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Level Degree, 3-5 years experience in clinical/health care program settings and an educational setting; understanding of management principles.

Desired: Considerable experience in database development and maintenance; considerable experience in data collection methodology, analysis, and reporting. Formal training background preferred; experience in data collection methodology, analysis, and reporting.
