Clinical Coordinator

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics of student clinical rotations under the direction of the Director of Clinical Education.  Additional duties include working with the Clinical Education team in the data collection and analytics to support the ongoing program self-assessment, accreditation and student assessment processes.

This is a full time, 6-month assignment.  Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.   Works on campus with some flexibility to work from Home.

 

Responsibilities  

  • Works closely with the Director of Clinical Education and Senior Clinical Coordinator to support PA Program clinical phase operations.
  • Communicates with preceptors regarding onboarding and ongoing clinical site maintenance and assists with the clinical onboarding and compliance for students in the clinical phase of the program
  • Assist with the maintenance of student schedules for the clinical phase of the program
  • Interacts with clinical sites to establish and maintain affiliation agreements
  • Maintenance of the clinical preceptor database, including securing and managing clinical network documentation
  • Assists with the data collection to support the ongoing program self-assessment and student assessment processes
  • Provides data analysis and reporting to support the PA program’s ongoing program self-assessment and student assessment processes.
  • Participates in regular program faculty/staff meetings
  • Travel, as needed, to support PA program operations

 

  Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (social sciences, statistics, education, or related fields)
  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Experience with data entry and analysis using statistical software
  • Previous experience in health professions education is preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Must have attention to detail and ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a team-based work environment
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments;
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events;
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
  • Ability to lead and train students;
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports;
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member, while exercising independent and critical judgment;
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment
