Clinical Business Operations Analyst


Department:
Medicine | IM Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep

Business Operations Analyst who manages and oversees administrative functions of clinical operations for the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine’s (PCCS) hospital-based and satellite clinics that do not fall under the Department of Internal Medicine’s subspecialty clinics; functions as liaison between CMO, Central Scheduling, IHIS, Cadence team, third party vendor (where appropriate) and division access leadership; creates and modifies physician templates and/or schedules for 60+ PCCS providers; ensures required and appropriate levels of provider coverage of inpatient service, procedural and outpatient clinics, as well as special PCCS programs, for both immediate need and long range planning; maintains accurate provider’s schedules for clinic time and/or call; ensures schedules are entered correctly in applicable scheduling systems; Takes the lead with division clinical schedule changes; maintains the appropriate block schedules, coordinates clinic cancelations, and acts as liaison to the patient scheduling center; provides administrative support to Associate Director of Clinical Services in Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCS); manages Associate Director’s calendar; coordinates travel for Associate Director; completes project work as assigned by Associate Director and Division Administrator.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business, Healthcare, or relevant field with at least two years of experience in Operations, Business, Healthcare or relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, effective communications skills, and continued professional development. Extensive experience required in the areas of data analysis and reporting; and process evaluation, planning, and improvement. Experience in medical office management preferred including knowledge of medical office operations and systems and familiarity with guidelines regarding patient confidentiality issues; working knowledge of MS Office platforms and EPIC preferred. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
