CLINICAL ASST PROF

The University of Michigan Department of Urology is seeking to hire a fellowship-trained Urologic Oncologist for a faculty position in the Division of Urologic Oncology at our West Shore Urology practice in Muskegon, Michigan. This appointment would be at the rank of Assistant Professor and is on the University of Michigan Medical School Clinical Track. The selected candidate is planned to have 4 days of clinical activity per week consisting of clinic and OR. There will be 20% dedicated time (one day per week) for patient follow-up, research/scholarship, and professional/academic development.

The Division of Urologic Oncology is fully committed to all aspects of the academic tripartite mission and has a supportive and team-oriented culture. Members of the Division provide outstanding patient care and drive impactful science while training the next generation of Urologists. The Division is comprised of eleven clinical faculty members, three PhD scientists, and three advanced practice providers. The Department of Urology, which celebrated its centennial in 2019, is composed of more than 50 fulltime faculty members.

The selected candidate must have an M.D. or D.O. and be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible. Successful applicants will have completed urology residency. The candidate must hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence is expected. Evidence of scholarly activity (publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at national meetings) is also expected.
