Job Summary:
Clinical Associate Professor (Psychiatric-Mental Health Concentration)
The responsibilities of this non-tenure track 12-month position include directorship, teaching, and service. The primary focus will be in the area of Psychiatric-Mental Health for the advanced-level nursing program.
The faculty member will be effective in teaching and mentoring diverse students using multiple methods; overseeing student progression processes in the specialty track; developing curricula; engaging in university service; and participating in accreditation-related processes.
Required Qualifications:
1. An earned doctoral degree.
2. New Jersey RN license (current or evidence of application).
3. Psychiatric Mental Health advanced practice nursing certification, and current regional practice in this
area of specialization.
4. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
5. Proficiency in the use of computer systems for spreadsheets, word processing, internet,
videoconferencing, and e-mail.
6. Ability to manage sensitive issues with decorum and confidentiality.
7. Well organized, independent, and collaborative in fulfilling responsibilities.
NOTE: Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
