Job Duties
The mission of the college is to serve as a national model for transforming the health of rural under served regions through excellence and innovation in nursing education, leadership, research, scholarship, and practice.
The preferred candidate for this position will hold a master’s degree in nursing education or higher and a certification in Nursing Professional Development and/or as a Certified Nurse Educator.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitation of clinical/practicum placement experiences of the student’s education.
  • Student advisement related to practicum experiences.
  • Teach selected courses in area of expertise.

Appointments are commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Education/Experience
A valid non-restricted North Carolina registered nurse (RN) license.
Graduate degree in nursing required (MSN).
Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Demonstrated nursing scholarship activity.
Effective oral and written communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population of students.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse faculty and student body.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
A valid non-restricted North Carolina registered nurse (RN) license.
