Clinical Assistant Professor - STEM Education

The Mathematics Department at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications from candidates with specialization in the area of STEM Education to apply for a non-tenure-track Assistant Clinical Faculty position for the teach HOUSTON program. We are particularly interested in someone with experience in public school teaching, higher education teaching, culturally responsive classroom management, and mixed methods research. Preferred qualifications include expertise with grant writing, course development in areas of STEM Education and classroom management, and experience with academic advising and mentoring. Moreover, we are seeking a candidate who would continue to broaden secondary STEM teacher development, while strengthening strategic connections with other colleges at UH such as the College of Education and the Cullen College of Engineering, in critical areas related to STEM outreach and teacher preparation. 
The Mathematics Department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for excellence in teaching, exceptional research, and clear commitment to the faculty, graduate, and undergraduate student population.

A PhD in STEM Education with a focus on Engineering Design Education or related field.
