Clinical Assistant Professor - Social Work

The Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) at the University of Houston, a Carnegie Designated Tier One Research University, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, faculty member to teach and engage in academic service focused on Macro Social Work. At the GCSW, our vision is to achieve social, racial, economic, and political justice, local to global. We invite applicants whose teaching and community engagement will inspire student growth and contribute to achieving this vision. We are particularly interested in applicants with demonstrated experience in macro-related practice and macro social work education through course teaching and/or practicum instruction. Appointments will begin on or around September 1, 2024.
This position is a 9-month, promotion eligible, non-tenure track, faculty position which will include teaching and academic service. Teaching responsibilities will consist of 8 courses per academic year. Service responsibilities to the College will include participating in faculty governance, including committee assignments.

Master of Social Work from a CSWE accredited social work program, at least two years of post-MSW practice experience, and demonstrated experience with macro-focused practice.
