Clinical Assistant Professor

.50FTE

Nine-month appointment

The Program in Rehabilitation Sciences invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor. This 50% non-tenure track faculty position has primary teaching responsibilities in the Rehabilitation Sciences undergraduate program. The ideal candidate has evidence of effective teaching skills at the undergraduate level and has practical working experience within healthcare/rehabilitation settings.

Duties:

Responsibilities

 

• Teaching undergraduate coursework for UIC’s Rehabilitation Sciences undergraduate degree
• Course and curriculum development and evaluation
• Attending student-related professional development and community-building events at all levels of campus life
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Required

• Doctoral degree or equivalent
• Teaching experience and mentoring/advising students at the college/university level including course development and curriculum development
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching ethics, healthcare law, and professionalism in health sciences
• Commitment to diversity, quality, integrity, and student-centeredness
