Department Summary

The Department of Management provides quality management education leading to baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. We have academic programs in strategy, entrepreneurship, human resources, sport entertainment management, and general management.
Faculty in the department conduct high-level basic and applied research, engage in instructional development, and provide professional expertise and service to constituent communities.
In addition to being home to 21 tenured and tenure-track professors in organizational behavior, human resources, entrepreneurship, strategy, and sport entertainment management, our department has 17 professional faculty (lecturers and clinical faculty).
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Summary
The Department of Management in the UNT G. Brint Ryan College of Business invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
Key job requirements:
  • This is a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure-track position.
  • Clinical faculty are expected to have an ongoing research program that maintains scholarly academic status per Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business standards. 
  • Clinical faculty have a 3-3 teaching load. Teaching assignments will primarily be in undergraduate Strategic Management courses. However, the faculty member may be asked to cover courses in the Entrepreneurship BBA program and/or in our graduate programs. Teaching assignments may be online, hybrid, or face-to-face in our Denton or Frisco locations.
  • Service activities within the department, Ryan College of Business, and university will be expected.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • An earned doctorate in strategic management or a closely related field from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)-accredited institution.
  • A record of high-quality teaching at the university level.
  • Scholarly Academic status per AACSB and an ongoing program of research.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a track record of teaching excellence in strategic management will be given preference.
