Summary of Position
The Biomedical Science Program in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a three-year renewable, benefits-eligible non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor position to commence January 2023. 
The person hired will be responsible for undergraduate teaching in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) option of the Biomedical Science Program. Teaching responsibilities will include lecture and laboratory courses in molecular diagnostics, mycology/parasitology/virology, and the ability to teach introductory microbiology. Clinical responsibilities will include training and supervising students and coordinating student clinical internships. 
Other responsibilities will include academic advising of undergraduate students, service activities for the Department and College, and participation in the periodic accreditation process for the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). 
A commitment to teaching, service, and the enhancement of diversity and inclusion is also required.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Masters or Ph.D. degree, and certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent). 
Candidates with three or more years employment in a clinical laboratory or equivalent teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
Candidates without ASCP or equivalent certification will not be considered.

The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences (MCBS) is an energetic and growing department that interacts with three Departments within the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA), and the state’s Agricultural Experiment Station.  The Department is also home to the only NAACLS accredited four-year Medical Laboratory Science program in the state of New Hampshire.
