Position Summary | The Dwyer School of Health Sciences Division of Dental Education invites applicants for a full-time 10-month non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor faculty position. This full-time position requires delivery of online and on-campus didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in the Dental Hygiene Program, mentoring clinical dental hygiene students, participation in interprofessional education activities, and supporting faculty calibration. Other important expectations include participation in closed loop assessment of curriculum, participation in quality assurance of clinical services, and service to the program, college, campus, or community, such as regularly attending and participating in faculty meetings and serving on relevant committees. Faculty may also be required to teach evening, weekend, off-site, and/or online courses. Successful candidates with a bachelor’s degree must begin a master’s degree program within one year of start date and complete the degree within five years. The mission of the Division of Dental Education is to be a leader in providing high-quality education, clinical experiences, and interprofessional collaborative opportunities to undergraduate students for future roles as oral health professionals. The program is committed to excellence in the theory and practice of dental hygiene and the development of competent, socially sensitive, culturally diverse, and ethically responsible professionals.
