Job Description

This position will teach courses in the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, participate in scholarly inquiry, and participate in professional and university service.  Candidates with experience have the option to serve as Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising students.
  • Teaching ACEND-accredited undergraduate courses (primarily) and ACEND-accredited graduate courses (secondarily).
  • Participating in campus and system-wide committees.
  • Working collaboratively and productively with colleagues.
  • Participating in traditional academic functions.
  • Developing and maintaining a scholarship line of research.
  • Key responsibilities of the DPD Director include: Direct the undergraduate Didactic Program in Dietetics utilizing ACEND Standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist through CDR and eligible for licensure in the state of Idaho.
  • Master’s degree in a dietetics-related field.
  • Ability to teach ACEND-accredited courses.
  • Evidence of active involvement with state, regional, and/or national dietetic associations.
  • Desire and ability to establish an active scholarship line of research.
  • The DPD director must have at least three years professional experience post credentialing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent in a dietetics-related field.
  • Program management experience.
  • At least three years experience teaching ACEND-accredited courses.

Additional Information

Salary will be between $64,000 to $68,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
