Position Summary
The Department of Advanced Data Analytics in the Toulouse Graduate School at the University of North Texas invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in Data Analytics. Successful candidates will teach courses in the rapidly expanding ADTA department, including the MS degree program providing leading edge education in the high-demand field of data analytics. Graduate and undergraduate certificates in data analytics are also offered and taught by ADTA faculty. ADTA is distinguished through a case-study approach in classes, strong partnerships with regional businesses, and intense dedication to student success.  
 
Anticipated instructional needs include, but are not limited to, data analytics, applied statistics, machine learning, AI, and data engineering. Candidates with experience teaching at the university level and/or mentoring industry professionals in any of these areas are encouraged to apply. Candidates will teach online as well as face-to-face classes at UNT’s Frisco and Denton campuses.  
 
Successful candidates will work with diverse faculty and students in the ADTA department and across UNT, supporting a strong culture of collaboration and innovation. Candidates are expected to teach a course load of 3-4 courses per semester with the potential for course load reduction for scholarly and professional activities, program advising, course development, or other professional development and service activities. Actual course loads are assigned based on program needs. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.   
Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree in Data Analytics/Science or related quantitative/technical field such as Business Analytics, Information Technology, Economics, Decision Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Statistics.
Experience teaching at the university level and/or significant experience mentoring industry professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with experience applying analytic methods in business, government, or science settings and to applicants with experience teaching online classes.
