The Clinical Teaching Track is a non-tenure track position where faculty participate in a broad range of teaching, service and scholarly activities. Clinical Teaching Track appointees will have comparable ranks to tenured faculty (i.e., Assistant, Associate and Full Professor), except that the designation C/T will be placed after the academic rank (e.g., Assistant Professor C/T). Responsibilities and appointment procedures are outlined in the individual department bylaws . All faculty interested in applying for a position in the Clinical Teaching Track must follow the appropriate department procedures outlined in the bylaws.

Position Emphasis:

The specific expectations and criteria for evaluation of teaching, service and scholarly activity will be determined by primary units in CLAS and must be approved by the Dean and the Provost. CTT faculty members should be engaged in at least 10% time/effort in each area—teaching, research/creative/scholarly activities, and service. A typical appointment will consist of 80% teaching; 10% research/creative/scholarly activities; and 10% service.

Salary and Benefits:

Faculty that are newly appointed to the Clinical Teaching track from an Instructor or Senior Instructor position will have a flat salary increase. The hiring salary range is $2,000 -$3,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Must be a current Instructor/Senior Instructor or Visiting faculty member in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Must meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the department bylaws
