The hourly Clinical Assistant performs chart review and laboratory support for clinical research studies in the Fredricks Lab in the Infectious Disease Sciences Program of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division. This is an entry-level support role that works with Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Trial Assistants and faculty member.

The position will work up to 19.5 hours per week.


Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient chart reviews for clinical study through EPIC.
  • Determine eligibility and extract appropriate data from chart.
  • Assist with data analysis and creation of reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; With a minimum of 1-year related work experience.
  • Must be competent working with Office Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention-to-detail is required for the position.
  • Must be accurate, self-motivated, dependable and willing to learn.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological, social, or clinical science preferred.
  • Current enrollment in medical school is preferred.
  • Interest in infectious diseases with a focus on epidemiology of fungal infections.
  • Previous experience working with patient charts.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $26.73 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
