Summary of Position | Plymouth State University (PSU) invites dynamic applicants who are committed to academic excellence and devoted to teaching in a vibrant learning environment to apply for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing (Non-Tenure-track). Applications are being accepted for a full-time, non-tenure track (9 month) Nursing faculty position teaching pre-licensure undergraduate students in the classroom and clinical areas. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university. |

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications | Master’s degree in Nursing Three years practice as a registered nurse Two years of relevant college/university level teaching experience Unencumbered RN license in the State of New Hampshire or eligibility for licensing inNew Hampshire Desire to work as part of a team in the department, cluster and within the University Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Experience using instructional technology and/or developing and delivering effective online instruction |

Departmental Information | Nursing Program, BSN The registered nursing program at Plymouth State University maintains an enrollment of approximately 180 students. Our vibrant program is grounded in our mission, vision and philosophy that speaks to providing curricula that supports excellence in nursing education. Graduates of our program are competent nurses who make sound clinical judgements, communicate effectively, and make decisions using the best evidence available, to practice in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment whether here in our community of Plymouth or beyond. The team of faculty at PSU’s nursing program are dedicated professionals who are committed to student growth and success and themselves pursue and demonstrate life long learning. We embrace innovative and creative approaches to learning such as interprofessional simulations that create learning environments within the Health &Human Enrichment cluster and beyond. We maintain a robust relationship with clinical partners. We are proud of our graduates’ accomplishments and maintain high NCLEX pass rates. PSU has a thriving student nurses association and Sigma Theta Tau membership.
