Position Summary
Individuals hired into this position will be teaching real estate finance courses at the MBA and undergraduate levels at KFBS. They will also be expected to work closely with staff at the Wood Center for Real Estate Studies to support/mentor students and assist with various Wood Center initiatives. The ideal candidate would, additionally, occasionally produce research targeting a practitioner audience, enriching the faculty’s research outreach.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field is required; A PhD in Finance, Economics, or closely related field is preferred. Hired applicants with a master’s degree can anticipate an initial appointment of Clinical Instructor. Hired applicants with a PhD can anticipate an initial appointment of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor depending on credentials.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A proven track record demonstrating excellence in teaching real estate finance courses in a graduate business school setting is necessary. Industry experience, or a demonstrated deep understanding of the commercial real estate industry (especially in an international context), is strongly preferred. A history of writing or publishing practitioner-oriented research is also preferred.
