Position Description
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, at the University of Washington School of Medicine/Seattle Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time neonatologist to join our faculty as Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level on the academic clinician pathway. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professors, and Clinical Professors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July - June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The base salary range for this position will be: Clinical Assistant Professors $18,618 - $27,927 per month ($223,416 - $335,124 annually), Clinical Associate Professors $21,793 - $32,689 per month ($261,516 - $392,268 annually), Clinical Professors $24,947 - $37,420 per month ($299,364 - $449,040 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children's University Medical Group practice plan. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).
The Division of Neonatology has an outstanding fellowship training program, robust clinical/translational and basic research, and provides clinical care at two academic level IV NICUs and several regional level III NICUs. Our mission is to improve the outcome of pregnancy by advancing neonatal scholarship, educating the next generation of neonatal caregivers, and by providing outstanding evidence based neonatal clinical care. All our faculty contribute to this mission.

Anticipated start date is Fall 2024.
Qualifications
The successful candidate:- Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent). Must be Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Neonatology and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all 3 steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
