Job Summary

The Finance area’s programs, at the undergraduate and graduate level, offer an array of courses covering such topics as corporate financial management, investment management, futures & options, mergers & acquisitions, financial risk management, international financial management and others. In addition to classroom coursework, our programs offer opportunities to participate in intra- and inter-collegiate case competitions, hands-on investment management practice, and student-led club activities.


Our Finance faculty feature scholars who have published articles in the top finance, economics, and management journals. These contributions have been recognized by awards and prizes earned at major national and international conferences and given by the most prestigious journals. In terms of finance research ranking, we are currently ranked #31 worldwide in the ASU-FMA Rankings. The faculty is dedicated to bringing this research excellence to the classroom in practical applications. The faculty features multiple winners of university and school-wide teaching awards.

 

About the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor Position

The program has significant resources and is seeking people with an innovative, mission-driven, and collaborative mindset.

 

The Clinical Professor will:
•    Teach in multiple areas of finance at the undergraduate and graduate level.
•    Serve as a faculty advisor for academies/clubs within the area(s) of finance that are most relevant to the candidate’s experience and interests.
•    Assist with events and programming as needed to advance the finance program.

 

Qualified candidates must have:
•    A Ph.D. degree in Finance or related field by start date.  
•    Excellent communication skills

 

The ideal candidate will have:
•    Evidence of past collaborations between industry and academia
•    Some industry experience at financial institutions
•    Prior teaching, mentorship, or training experience that translates well to the classroom.
•    The desire and ability to stay up-to-date with the latest finance industry practices and relevant academic research.
