Summary of Position
The Department of Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire is currently seeking applicants for a full-time 3-year appointment (with potential for renewal) as a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Health Sciences major to begin August 2024. Salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off. Our enterprising Health Sciences program is expanding, as such, we are looking for a committed professional dedicated to collaboration, health sciences education, and student engagement. The successful candidate will have at least a master’s degree in a health-related discipline (i.e., Physician Assistant Studies, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Health Science, Physiology, Health Administration, or a related area). Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an allied healthcare setting. Candidates should have evidence of successful teaching and have the knowledge to serve as principal instructor in courses such as Introduction to Health Sciences, Medical Terminology, Clinical Research Methods, Health Promotion/Prevention, Public Health, Pharmacology, General Medical Conditions, and Cultural Considerations in Healthcare. An interest or experience in medical simulation is preferred.
The candidate’s duties will include: (i) teaching undergraduate courses in the Health Sciences program via varying modalities (i.e., face-to-face, hybrid, or online), (ii) advising and mentoring undergraduate students in both coursework and health career preparation, (iii) curricular development, and (iv) contributing to the service mission of the university through departmental, university, community, and professional service.
