Clinic Tech - Flexi - Leeds Primary Care

Position Description:
Work Schedule: Flexi, Irregular
Work Location: Prime Care, Leeds

Provides a variety of specialized services that require interaction with patients, visitors and other members of the patient care team. Greets and escorts patients from waiting area to treatment rooms and performs required medical testing (i.e. vital signs, obtain urine specimens, height/weight, etc.) as directed by either physician, RN/LPN or pre-designated protocol. May prepare and collect charge tickets. Answer and document patient phone calls regarding medical questions, test results and medication while in constant contact with attending physician, RN/LPN. Performs a variety of duties requiring use of independent judgment and decision making skills within well established parameters. Ensures patient rooms and instruments are clean and stocked with required supplies. Orders and maintains clinic supplies. Performs pre-load responsibilities based on clinic need.


Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Must: (1) Attend all required course work assigned by management; (2) possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management; (3) be able to perform math & bookkeeping skills; (5) possess exceptional telephone & customer service skills; and (5) be knowledgeable of English grammar & punctuation.

Preferred: One year experience in a medical setting.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required: Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
