The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Clinic Coordinator to serve as a member of the Clinical Strategy team. Qualifications 
Required Education: 
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Required Experience: 
Two years of experience working in a clinic environment or comparable setting, including supervisory experience.
Preferred Education: 
Experience working with diverse individuals and communities. 
Preferred Experience: 
Familiarity with outpatient clinic patient scheduling, staffing, supply-ordering, and daily operations. 
Required Licenses and Certifications: 
This role requires that the Clinic Coordinator travels between areas of supervisory responsibility.  Travel required.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications: 
Working knowledge of healthcare electronic medical record systems (preference with e-clinical works).
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
Must have problem solving and decision-making skills.  
Must be a talented team builder. 
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills. 
Must have strong computer skills. 
Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment. 
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
Word processing, Microsoft Office, Keyboarding, excellent communication skills.
 
Responsibilities: 
Daily Clinic Supervision  
Helps ensure that a medical facility and its staff maintain a high level of ethical and professional standards. Looks for ways to streamline and enhance administrative operations. 
Counsels and trains newly hired clinical staff. 
Consults with and supports clinical staff in the efforts to serve patients. 
Helps improve communication among employees in a clinical environment. 
Assists in the planning and promoting of health programs for the community. 
Develops and implements some of the policies and procedures for the medical facility. 
Schedules clinical staff according to workloads and available equipment and space. 
Attends interdepartmental meetings. 
Overseeing front office scheduling, intake of patients.  
Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality of outpatient clinic operations.  
Enhancing operations by ensuring sufficient staffing and adequate access.  
Supervisory Support Duties  
Recruits, hires and trains clinical staff. 
Attends interdepartmental meetings. 
Conducting performance reviews. 
Having regular meetings with clinical operations colleagues in credentialing, health information management, management and chief clinical officer as needed. 
Monitors the use of resources to determine when there is a need for additional staff. 
Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality of outpatient clinic operations. 
Other Duties 
Performs other duties as assigned.
