Description

 

Client Advocate - This is a temporary position under general supervision. This position will facilitate behavioral health screenings and risk/needs screenings, conduct initial intakes for individuals who are involved in the Misdemeanor Court Programs. This position will assist participants in navigation of the necessary therapeutic referrals and their involvement within the justice system, in order to increase a participants overall behavioral health and reduce the likelihood of justice recidivism. In addition, this position will attend courts day/evening for the purpose of disseminating information provided by the court referral officer to the respective courts.

 

Qualifications

 

Experience with mental health/substance use, comfortable in a courtroom setting. Familiarity with data entry, criminal justice populations, mental health/substance abuse issues, and exposure to risk/needs assessments

Bachelors degree in Social Services or related field.
