Job Summary

Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of the Meal Plan - Nutrition Office. Including: receptionist duties; answering phones and inquiries; preparing correspondence: filing: completing forms and reports.

Essential Functions

  • Supports Registered Dietitians with scheduling, meetings, email correspondence, phone call appointments and events.
  • Maintains files and filing system for department files.
  • Processes confidential documents (i.e., HIPPA) for department and submission to appropriate campus partners while exercising care to prevent unnecessary disclosure.
  • Coordinates required AllerTrain training schedules and completion certification for Dining Services.
  • Assists Dietitians in preparation of forecast spreadsheets of Dining Service menus.
  • Prepares inventory sheets for new dining products and daily outages.
  • Inputs menu changes into menu management database, including base menu changes.
  • Trains nutrition interns.
  • Orders and maintains an inventory of office supplies for the Nutrition Office.
  • Receives telephone calls and visitors to the Nutrition Office in a courteous manner.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • High school diploma.
  • Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time office experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows based software including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • High level of proficiency in written and oral communications.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Experience working in higher education. 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment.

Work Schedule

  • M-F; 8:30am - 4:30pm.
  • Occasional weekend and evening hours.
