About Our Opportunity:

The Housing Assignments Clerk position will provide a high level of administrative support and business processes for the Central Assignments Office (University-Residences-Administration).  Duties include data entry of student records and auditing reports to ensure the accuracy of data within the housing management system.  In addition, this position will provide clerical support in a student-centered environment and prioritize responsibilities.  Maintain the highest level of customer service.  The position is responsible for understanding the housing contract and the ability to explain practices, policies, and procedures to reach an agreement.  This position is responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to hall clerks and student staff within the Central Assignments Office.  The position requires a broad knowledge of the operational systems and practices within University Residences and is responsible for managing calendars and communicating through email, phone calls, or chat.
 

What We’re Looking For:
Required:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Three years of clerical or administrative experience.
  • Work standards and productivity, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, decision-making, and dependability.
  • Strong attention to detail and stress tolerance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, organizational and customer support.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds utilizing the Student Life mission and teamwork in daily work activity. 

Preferred:

  • Experience in University Residences.
