COACH for Kids, a program of the Cedars-Sinai Maxine Dunitz Children’s Health Center is looking for a Driver to join their team on a per diem/as needed basis.

Our Coach program provides no-cost health and social services to under served communities in Los Angeles. Regularly, two mobile medical units travel to schools, shelters, public housing developments and neighborhood facilities in communities across 28 Los Angeles zip codes, providing the highest quality care.

Since 1994, when the program was launched, we have helped more than 145,000 individuals receive vital healthcare services free of charge. In 2012 alone, COACH provided more than 30,000 services.


You will be responsible for driving a 38-foot mobile medical unit (MMU) to various Los Angeles County locations as part of a hospital-based community outreach program.

  • You will assist with MMU set-up, breakdown, maintenance and security
  • You may help with patient intake including vital signs/hearing and vision screenings, and registration
  • You will travel various communities to provide health services in all weather conditions
  • You may provide health services/community work on various Saturdays/Sundays as needed.

  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience driving passenger van, tractor-trailer, bus, RV or similar vehicle.


Educational & License Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • DMV- Current Class A or B Commercial California Drivers License

What else are we looking for?
  • Successful completion of a CNA, clinical partner course, or comparable training preferred
  • BLS certification (Course A) preferred
  • No infraction in driving record for previous three years
  • Basic knowledge of motor vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Full command (verbal and written) of the English language
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish/English preferred
