Job Responsibilities: Provide various types of technical and other assistance to clientele of SD LTAP and support the overall outreach and service function of the College of Engineering.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Local/State governance of road/street transportation infrastructure management; road/street construction, repair, maintenance and safety; personnel and asset management; and computer software applications.
Ability to: Gather information and document problems, solutions and recommendation in technical memorandums or reports; determine appropriate delivery methods for technical and training presentations; develop materials for workshops, including hands-on exercises and appropriate visual aids; gain confidence and trust of clientele; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with diverse clientele to provide helpful, on-site technical advice; participate in local, regional, or occasional national travel, as required which may include occasional overnight stays; effectively use computer software applications including word processing, e-mail, presentation software, etc.; lift and carry training materials and media equipment not to exceed 50 pounds.
Required License: Valid driver's license is required.
Comments: This position is located in Central South Dakota. It is a 40% time position with flexible scheduling. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
