Job Title: ARTS Program Administrator

Job Overview: Are you passionate about the intersection of arts education, research, and program development? The BYU ARTS Partnership is seeking a dynamic candidate to join our team as an Arts Program Administrator. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of shaping arts education locally and nationally.

 

What you'll do in this position: 

  • Program Development and Implementation: Collaborate with existing BYU ARTS partnership programs, design instruction, evaluate program impact and effectiveness. Provide recommendations to shape the future of initiatives in arts education and arts integration across the curriculum.
  • Research, Evaluation, and Innovation: Conduct research and analyze data in arts education, exploring topics like curriculum design, pedagogy, and student learning. Your findings and insights will drive innovation and elevate teaching practices in arts integration and joyful learning.
  • Consulting Excellence: Work closely with educators, administrators, and stakeholders as a trusted advisor. With expertise in adult education, enhance course content, online resources, and professional development offerings.
  • Thought Leadership: Publish materials about our work, share findings, and contribute to critical conversations in the arts education community. 
  • Creative Design: Approach instructional materials with flair whether it¿s crafting engaging lesson plans or designing cutting-edge e-learning experiences.
  • Collaboration: Forge strong relationships with subject matter experts, clients, and colleagues in order to elevate arts education for K-6 learners.

 

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU 
  • Bachelor's degree and experience in relevant content areas including teaching, research, and evaluation
  • Understanding of indicators of exceptional instructional practice and strategies for measuring student learning and program effectiveness
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills 
  • Knowledge of technology for office work: Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, social media, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in the arts and arts integration

Preferred

  • A Master's degree and experience in a relevant content area
  • 3-5 years teaching experience in K-12 public schools
  • Administrative experience
  • Working knowledge of job-embedded teacher research procedures and protocols to apply it as a professional development tool
  • Experience in teacher education and/or providing professional development
  • Experience in securing external funds for research, training, and program development
  • Ability to use technology and its applications in the arts, communications, instruction, and in the creation of instructional content
  • Experience with Adobe suite, Canva, Canvas, and Qualtrics
  • Experience with standards-based teaching and learning (i.e., disciplinary standards, National and Utah Core Standards in the arts, science, math, language arts, and social studies) 
  • Experience in university-public school partnerships
  • Active participation in professional organizations
