Location: Boston, MASSACHUSETTS
Job Type: FullTime

The Department of Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is recruiting a senior (Full or Associate Professor-level) investigator to join our faculty and to Co-Direct our Evans Center for Implementation and Improvement Sciences (CIIS). Candidates who have expertise in implementation science research methods are sought. CIIS is an active cross-section, cross-departmental safety net implementation science center that was established in late 2015.

The goals of CIIS are to: 1) guide, support, and innovate design of projects that rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of efforts to implement healthcare system change; 2) identify factors and strategies that accelerate the adoption and promote sustainability of effective healthcare interventions, especially in safety net systems; and 3) educate faculty and trainees in Implementation and Improvement Sciences. In addition to conducting its own research projects, CIIS also provides consultation to other projects, hosts regular implementation science methods training and sponsors a junior faculty fellowship program. The Co-Director position provides leadership in determining the strategic direction of CIIS, oversees management of daily activities and the fellowship program, identifies research projects that grow implementation science methods within the institution, particularly those focused on health equity in a safety net setting.

Applicants must have an MD, PhD or other doctoral degree, implementation science research methods experience and a track record of independent funding. The successful candidate will also have experience mentoring junior faculty, fellows and trainees.

Applicants should email their CV and a brief narrative of their implementation research experience, mentorship experience and vision for growing an active implementation science center within a safety net setting to CIIS Assistant Director, Santana Silver, at [email protected] .

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, natural or protective hairstyle, religion, sex, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military service, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, or because of marital, parental, or veteran status. We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
